About The Author
Saad Farage was born in Iraq in 1951. He immigrated to the United States in 1976. He obtained a Master’s degree in
geotechnical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and worked as an engineer for various US engineering companies.
He was part of the political oppositions to Saddam, and served with the US Department of Defense in Iraq for two years after
the fall of the Baath party regime in Iraq. He has written numerous short stories about Iraq. His first novel, The Spirit
of Mesopotamia, was about the marsh Arabs of southern Iraq. It was published in 1999. He has another novel in the making,
The Tale of Mesopotamia, and also a geotechnical engineering book, Consulting Geotechnical Engineering &
Practice.
